After completing your reiki course with enthusiasm and dedication, you have reached a turning point on your journey – it is time to apply what you have learned. Perfecting reiki is a process that requires patience, practice, and constant learning.
Now that you are filled with newly acquired knowledge and when your heart is filled in the energy of universal life energy, it is time to become an active reiki practitioner of that noble skill. Start with your first reiki self-treating.
The first step, after returning home, is to review and re-learn your material. You may have scripts or additional materials that you received during the – course, and now each this piece of information is valuable for your further practice. It is important that you slowly prepare for your first independent reiki treatment. Be aware that the first treatments will be sometime awkward and perhaps unusual; as I would say, we may invent a new kind of yoga given with all this new positions we will do.
It is a natural part of learning. Some bodily positions may be painful or uncomfortable for you at first, but that’s only because your body isn’t used to such positions. But don’t worry, with time and practice, the body will get used to it, and you won’t feel uncomfortable anymore.
One of the key aspects, after reiki attunement to the first stage of reiki, is the beginning of a 21-day phase of commitment to self-treatments. This is a time of deep introspection, self-healing, and perfecting the techniques you have learned. During these 21 days, it is important to consistently practice self-treatments, as this will help you not only in your physical but also in emotional, mental and spiritual growth and development.
Be confident and relaxed. And if perhaps, in the early days, you are not yet sure what you are doing, reiki knows where he is going and you can’t go wrong or do any harm with reiki.
